Transform perspectives and actions through art making and education
Art Activism: Destigmatize addiction disorder. We aim to transform perspectives and actions through art making and education. We are committed to engaging face to face whenever possible, and use digital tools to connect our cause. We lead projects with people from all walks of life in art-making for awareness, healing and social action.
Make Recovery Flags:
The Remember Love Recovery Project destigmatizes addiction disorder through connecting and artmaking of RECOVERY FLAGS. Join us in making Recovery Flags! We invite individuals, classrooms, community groups, families, teachers, and everybody everywhere through both in-person and online formats. Whether in person or online, we will support your vision for making your own Recovery Flag and facilitate the process with materials of your choice. We can provide supplies, or you can use materials you have at home. Use any upcycled materials for your flag-making or ask Patty to send you some 8.5x11” natural canvas banners. Here we show some artmaking examples to get you started on your Recovery Flag. We also share resources and videos about destigmatizing addiction disorder and invite you to leave your comments and stories to connect with community. You can make as many Recovery Flags as you are inspired to create – and post a digital photo of your flag in the virtual gallery. In the future we hope to collect the flags for some in-person art exhibits, too, so we would like to stay in touch.
